Request Your Free Consultation All Victims Can Afford Ms. Weigel's Dedicated Counsel

You have three years to file a personal injury claim; it's best to take action sooner rather than later.

Due to the relative vulnerability of bicycle riders compared to drivers, the fallout of a collision is often devastating. A personal injury “mill” likely won't give you the degree of focus you deserve and the degree of scrutiny your case needs; Charlotte Weigel will.

It costs absolutely nothing to discuss your case with Ms. Weigel and determine whether she is the right attorney for your case. If you hire her, you won't pay a dime unless she succeeds in securing a settlement or jury award for you. As she works your case, she can help you get access to the best possible medical care and maximize the benefits available through your own insurance policy. From start to finish, Charlotte and her team were so wonderful to work with. In a time of stress and uncertainty, they seamlessly guided, gathered and prepared all the information needed to get the maximum settlement for my case. Professional, supportive and easy to work with, there’s no doubt I would use them again and recommend her to anyone in need.

Charlotte Weigel was referred to me by a friend, and I will refer her to anyone who needs a wonderful attorney. She is thorough, helpful, communicative and best of all, effective. Her paralegal, Mike Wagner, as well as being extremely helpful was also very kind, and when you’re injured and in pain that means a lot. Highly recommend.

Do I Have a Case? Your Rights and Responsibilities as a Bicyclist

The best way to determine if you have a case is to consult Ms. Weigel. In the meantime, this overview of your rights and responsibilities as a bicyclist in Washington State can help you understand if third-party negligence may be to blame for your losses:

  • You have all the rights and responsibilities of a vehicle driver when using a roadway open to bicyclists.
  • You have the right to ride side by side with one other bicyclist.
  • When riding at night, you must have a white front light (not a reflector) that can be seen 500 feet away. You must also have a rear red reflector. You can use a red rear light in addition to the reflector if you choose.
  • You can ride your bike on paths, bike lanes, shoulders, or the travel lane (the lane used by motor vehicles)—whichever option is safest for you.
  • Bike helmets are not required statewide or in many parts of King County, but you are required to wear one in Bellevue and Seattle if you are riding on a right of way, sidewalk, public road, or path.
